Club sofa

The Club Sofa is one of the defining pieces of early Habbo Club furniture and one of the most important objects in the history of the Hotel's virtual economy. Its design is remarkably restrained compared with later Rare furniture: a simple dark sofa with chunky cushions, strong outlines and very little unnecessary decoration. That simplicity is part of its charm. It looks like something that could realistically belong in a small early-2000s virtual hotel room while still having the exaggerated proportions that make Habbo furniture immediately recognizable. Its historical importance comes from its connection to Habbo Club. The Club Sofa was the first item in the original monthly HC reward sequence, establishing a furniture collection that would eventually include items such as the Mega TV Set, Dicemaster, Throne Sofa and Majestic Chair. HC furniture quickly became highly desirable because membership was required to obtain it through the reward system. The Club Sofa consequently became one of the most familiar units of value in classic Habbo trading, with players commonly comparing other furniture against HC Sofas.
